World Tribe ~ It is difficult to determine the origin and limits of society and culture Ternate because this society has evolved since they founded the influential kingdom to Seram Island in Maluku Tengah. People generally inhabit the island of Ternate Ternate, mostly on the island of Obi, Bacan and Kayoa located in the west of the island of Halmahera. The islands were included in the district of North Maluku, Maluku province. Its population is approximately 50,000.

Livelihood Tribe Ternate
In ancient times the famous Ternate to Europe as a regional producer of spices, such as cloves, nutmeg, copra, cinnamon (Casia vera), and so on. At that time they were still happy to cultivate the move, the staple crops of upland rice, potatoes and vegetables. At the present time they have settled with growing rice, maize, beans, cassava, sweet potatoes and fishing in rivers and vast ocean around them. Cash crops such as nutmeg, copra, cloves, cinnamon, cocoa, and coffee continue to have an important role for the people of Ternate economy.
Ternate people have long developed a craft of making a container of pottery, making ornaments and woven bamboo and pandanus. The area now also has become the biggest producer of tuna after the Ambon.
Tribe language Ternate
Ternate language included in the group of non-Austronesian languages and more often classified into groups of Papuan languages.
Tribal Ternate
On the issue of the relationship lines are generally the descendants of Ternate adopts patrilineal, but in daily life one's relationship with its relatives are more bilateral.
Ternate people had embraced Islam before the Europeans came there. This religion brought by spice traders from Sumatra and Java.
