History-cuisine Food Karedok Bandung
Karedok food is typical Java, West Java, precisely. The cuisine is very unique because all the vegetables fresh, without going through the process of cooking up the nutrients and fiber is very dense.
Early in the name Karedok, because this dish comes from the village Karedok purportedly originated from a village situated across the River Training. This area was once the province of Sumedang bans or Mayeuti State (reference person at the time).

The village is located in the district Karedok Jati Gede, Sumedang. The total area of the village Karedok covering 926 ha, made up of different types of land, which includes the provision of public housing 11 ha, 0.10 ha of school buildings, places of worship (mosque) 0,020 ha, paddy irrigation half technical 145 ha of rainfed 70 ha, farm or land 39,35 ha, 305.5 ha of natural forests, sports facilities include volleyball court / basketball 0.20 ha, 1.42 ha park; and freshwater fishing or swimming ha 0.50.
Recipe Ingredients Karedok:
100 grams of beans young, cut 1/2 cm
2 leaves of the cabbage, remove the bone leaves, finely sliced
100 grams bean sprouts
100 grams of eggplant round, split 4-8
100 grams of water chestnuts, cut into 1/2 cm
100 grams of cucumber, cut, cut into 1/2 cm
25 grams of basil leaves
50 grams of fried chips
Recipe Fresh Beans Fine Karedok:
200 grams of fried peanuts
5 chili / liking
2 red chillies
2 teaspoons chopped galanga
1/2 teaspoon shrimp paste
1-2 tablespoons of vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon brown sugar
150 ml of lukewarm water
How to Make Karedok:
Mix all ingredients raw vegetables with peanut sauce and stir well.
Serve with a sprinkling of fried chips.
