At the end of the Ming Dynasty (early 17th century) in Fuzhou, there was a man named Meng Bo, live in a small village. He's a good personality and devotion to his parents. Meng Bo devotion to his mother was known by neighbors. One day, his mother was getting old is not able to eat meat again, because teeth have started can not eat something that is quite hard. It's a bit disappointing because he loves to eat meat.
Meng Bo wants to help her mother to be able to eat meat again delicious. During the night sitting, thinking about how to process the meat can be eaten by the mother. Until one day, he saw his neighbor pounding sticky rice to make mochi cakes. Seeing this, the idea arose. Meng Bo went straight to the kitchen and meat processing in a way that neighbors used in baking mochi. After the meat is tender, Meng Bo formed into circles until his mother can eat it easily. Then they boil the dough, the smell of delicious meat.
Meng Bo serves meatballs to his mother. The mother was happy because not only meatballs were delicious, but also easy to eat. Meng Bo was pleased to see his mother can eat meat again.
